Biographical / Historical

李鵬飛（1940-2020），山東煙台人。年幼隨家人遷居上海，1954年到香港定居，先後入讀三育書院及培英中學。中學畢業後到美國留學，入讀密歇根大學（University of Michigan），主修工程數學。

大學畢業後，李鵬飛於加州洛歇電子廠（Lockheed Aircraft）工作。1966年，李氏獲邀回港擔任洛歇香港分廠的測試部工程師及培訓工程師。1970年轉職至安培泛達（Ampex）工作，1972 年升任亞太區總經理。1985 年，李鵬飛與唐翔千創辦美維控股有限公司，主要生產線路板。1991 年李氏又與日本商家合營積德電子有限公司，專營覆銅板、銅箔銷售業務。

1978年，李鵬飛獲港督麥理浩邀請出任立法局議員。1985年又獲委任為行政局議員。1988年至1997年間任立法局首席議員。1991年，與張鑑泉、周梁淑怡等人成立啟聯資源中心。1993年，李氏創立自由黨並擔任創黨主席。回歸前，李氏曾出任香港特別行政區籌備委員會委員和香港事務顧問。回歸後，李鵬飛於1998年至 2008年間擔任港區全國人大代表。

李氏曾為多個傳媒機構擔任節目主持，如香港電台論政節目《議事論事》、有線電視《飛常政經》及Now TV時事節目《大鳴大放》等。
