Biographical / Historical

湯定華（1918-2013），又名正華，原名啟亮，字文冰，號正庵。廣東南海人。幼年曾於私塾學習，後入讀省立廣東大學，主修中國文學。畢業後獲派至新會縣立第三中學任校長。二次大戰後湯氏移居香港。來港初期與馮秉芬曾兩度創辦中學，後於導群中學及救恩書院擔任文史老師至 1976年到美國定居。

湯氏擅長詩詞創作。1950 年代加入由廖恩燾、劉景堂等人成立的詞社「堅社」，又與周懷璋、傅子餘、陳一峯等人吟詩填詞。參與堅社期間，湯氏負責刊行《堅社詞刊》。及後創辦了《詩詞週刊》，任該刊主編。湯氏亦善書畫，曾於香港和美國舉辦個人書畫展覽。為宣揚中國文化藝術，湯定華於 1950 年代成立「思海樓」，居美期間亦創立了「十洲行館」和「霜花腴詞館」，又於加州大學講學、設書畫班等。移居美國後曾以筆名「魯宿」及「魯齋」於《星島日報》撰寫旅美見聞。

湯氏的詩詞遺稿於 2018 年輯錄成《思海樓詩詞鈔》出版。
