Biographical / Historical

高行健(GAO Xingjian),法國華裔畫家、小說家、劇作家、導演。1940 年 1 月 4 日出生於江西赣州,祖籍江蘇省泰州市,1950 年移居南京。1952 至 1957 年間就讀於南京市第十中學(1988 年 5 月改稱金陵中學),期間曾師從畫家惲宗瀛 (1921- ) 學習素描、水彩、油畫和泥塑。1957 年考進北京外國語學院法語系,1962 年畢業後,於中國國際書店從事翻譯工作,1967 年 10 月 在北京與王學昀結婚。1970 年,長子王成志出生後,與妻子一起到安徽省寧國縣港口中學工作,1975 年返回北京,任《中國建設》雜誌社法文組組長,1977 年調入中國作家協會對外聯絡委員會,1980 至 1986 年間擔任北京人民藝術劇院編劇。

於北京人民藝術劇院任職編劇期間,曾出版評論集《現代小說技巧初探》(1981) 和短篇小説集《有隻鴿子叫紅唇兒》(1984);話劇《絕對信號》於 1982 年出版及首演;《車站》 於 1983 年出版及首演後,隨即被禁演,遂轉向水墨畫發展;1985 年與雕塑家尹光中在北京聯合舉行泥塑繪畫展,同年應邀赴歐洲五國(德國、法國、英國、奧地利、丹麥)訪問八個月,舉辦個人畫展。話劇《野人》於 1985 年出版及首演,《彼岸》於 1986 年出版後,未能公演。

1987 年應德國莫哈特藝術研究所 (Morat-Institut für Kunst und Kunstwissenshaft) 的邀請,赴德從事繪畫創作一年。1988 年定居法國,從事文藝創作與繪畫,此後從未踏足中國大陸。居法期間先後創作了《逃亡》(1990)、《生死界》(1991)、《山海經傳》(1992)、《對話與反詰》(1993)、《夜遊神》(1993)、《周末四重奏》(1994) 和《八月雪》(2001) 等劇作。小説方面,有《靈山》(1990) 和《一個人的聖經》(1999),並出版短篇小説集《給我老爺買魚竿》(1989),評論集《對一種現代戲劇的追求》(1988) 和《沒有主義》(1996) 等。

1992 年高行健獲法國政府頒發「法蘭西藝術與文學勳章」(Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) ;2000 年獲諾貝爾文學獎,得獎小說《靈山》;2002 年獲法國頒發「法國榮譽軍團勳章」(Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur)。
